Balmain Couture Show PFW
On Instagram for the last few days we have been obsessing over all of the Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week posts. The city itself is the most beautiful place to be and is always an amazing setting for fashion shows (Saint Laurent at the Eiffel Tower - incredible).
One show that really inspired us was Balmain's Couture Show held last night. It was Creative Director Olivier Rousteing's first ever Couture Show and Balmain's first in 16 years - how incredible and what a show to make a comeback with! We particularly loved the white colour palette within the show, mixed with pearls, feathers, tweed and the oversized belted tailoring. There's a really great interview over on Vogue with Olivier Rousteing where he mentions the inspiration for this collection being Paris and the beauty of France. He also talks about one of the pieces from the Couture Show, a feather jumpsuit which took 1,200 hours to delicately make.
We found the show so inspiring and the designs are like a work of art. We've included our favourite looks from the show below.
